Under the direction of the General Manager and in liaison with the IT resource, is responsible for the maintenance, installation and maintenance, and internal support / administration of Retail Merchandise / Management systems and all interfaces with suppliers and users systems, for the acquisition and distribution of core product data and to ensure that all data integrity is maintained across multiple platforms.
Become a “Super-user” and provide expert support & advice for these applications to Members and Internal colleagues alike.
To help colleagues document the company’s product hierarchy, and co-ordinate Retail Systems Projects, such as the implementation of new, and conversion of existing, systems.
Help design and support interfaces between the new system and third party software providers, to include supplier product data imports and also develop and manage execution of test scripts for implementation, interfaces and customizations.
Develop and demonstrate subject matter expertise in various retail cross-functional areas, such as, Merchandising, Operations, Planning, Allocation, Supply Chain, Stores, Finance and Logistics. Engage with these business units to develop long-term relationships in order to deliver administration of the solution and end user acceptance.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Ideally an IT Graduate but an experienced support person would also be considered. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of staff from Director to user and be seen to be analytical and pro-active in all areas.
